Like I said before, I like the looks of the Sky, but who in there right minds made a car without a trunk. Which is a 6" gap between the back of the car, and the folded up top. While she was replying, she was taking stuff out off her bags and stuffing them in her trunk. She replied to me, "What do you need a trunk for?". His wife arrived with a few items from the store, and as I said, nice car, but no trunk. (Don't see too many with the top down.) When I left the store, the driver of the Sky was sitting there waiting for his wife, top was still down, but the trunk was open. Went to a store and I parked alongside of a Saturn Sky which had his top down. I'd do the same all over again but I sure do like the Sky. I had a chance to buy a Sky but I want to travel in my convertible so I bought the Miata. I love the lines of the car, the wheels, etc. I think the Sky looks much much more like a sports car than the Miata does. While I'm there, I'll also admire the quality of the interior plastics. I'm going out to the garage to find the lush leather interior on my Miata. In the mean time we can cut costs EVERYWHERE else, glue cheap foam, thick uneven cut plastics all across door and dash panels and we won't bother tightening anything up it's eventually just going to loosen anyway right? Once the 20 minute test drive is through we'll leave the rest to our salesman. They do a lot of "research" and come to the conclusion that the buyer will immediately pay attention to 1. I can honestly imagine the way GM designs their vehicle interiors. It's equally as unimpressive in the Sky as it was in the Solstice. So if anyone thinks they were built as a mans car, they are wrong. "Miata girly good looks." I have a neighbor whose last project with GM design before his retirement was the Solstice/Sky and he told me that their target buyer was "Woman" and if the men liked it too, so much the better. I know GM can make a couple of good interiors I guess, but those models in my personal opinion were just not good looking. I was so turned off when I was checking one out at the dealership prior to my Miata. Top that with the fact that it's top goes down into the trunk so you're not able to drop it sitting down. I will however make a general note of the Sky (and solstice) they have absolutely crappy fit and finish interiors. She could have easily said something about the Miatas straight line performance or "girly good looks" it's not like we are not aware of these things either. I dunno, life is too sweet to take everything to heart. If i were a sky owner and someone said that, I'd respond with a "yeah, haha but drives great though!" smile, and drive away. Try posting this info on the forum at I'm betting that there are plenty of takers over there.I know for a fact that there are tons of folks waiting on R/L's and would love the chance of snagging one now rather than a year from now.Guess everyone is different. And yes I know that I will probably have to wait a long time before a dealer will sell one for that, but I have 4 cars now, I can wait. The only problem is I get GMS and I won't pay any more than that. Very very tempting, even though it's not my color choice. We know there is someone out there who would love to have this car, we just have to find them! I can also provide a 1-800 number or email address for anyone who doesn't have the ability to call long distance. Please, if you or anyone you know is interested in this car, please call Russ. We haven't had any luck finding someone out of our local pool of customers that is interested in the combination of colors and options. The customer who ordered this vehicle purchased an Aura on Wednesday and backed out of the Red Line SKY. This will require a $1,000 non-refund-able deposit, of course this car will be here shortly. RADIO, 18" POLISHED ALLOY WHEELS, THE EXTERIOR COLOR IS BLACK ONYX). 2007 SATURN RELINE SKY, $30,651 ( MANUAL TRANS, BLACK&TAN LEATHER, 6-DISC CD WITH MONSOON PREM SYSTEM, LIMITED SLIP DIFFENTIAL, XM SAT.
